Ketchum Hong Kong has supported a number of green initiatives already this year. One of these ongoing projects is support for the Council of Sustainable Development’s Building Design to Foster a Quality and Sustainable Built Environment, a platform for the public to exchange ideas and share their thoughts on building designs that will contribute to a sustainable built environment for Hong Kong.

Ketchum developed a full-year communications plan to promote and drive participation in the public consultation. The official launch ceremony was the first major milestone, for which Ketchum provided counsel and support on the event positioning, program conceptualization, guest invitation and registration management, as well as onsite attendee and media management. With the support of over 50 staff managed by Ketchum, the event, which was attended by 3,000 guests, was a success and the media results went a long way in promoting the public consultation process.

The Ketchum team is currently supporting the Council on various regional public forums, and executing targeted media programs to drive not only awareness of the public consultation, but also the level of understanding amongst the general public on the complex issue of building design.
