Acer Logs on with Bloggers for its Liquid Launch Print

A1W_HomeAcer, one of the world’s leading electronics giants, launched Liquid, its latest smartphone model in Hong Kong just in time for the holiday season. To drive local market penetration, Ketchum devised a strategy to utilize the blogosphere to reach tech-savvy, trend-conscious consumers.

Ketchum invited 11 bloggers, each reputable in the fields of gadgets, lifestyles and all things new, to trial Liquid. In a casual but private lounge in the heart of Hong Kong, the group discussed the smartphone’s features and provided instant feedback and ideas on how the phone can be best utilized.

All of the attending bloggers appreciated the dialogue and Acer’s openness to exchange ideas. The Acer Liquid was twittered and blogged by the online influencers before, during and after the event, creating a buzz in the online community.
