KUKA, a leading global manufacturer of industrial robots, staged a spectacular launch party in Shanghai in June to start off its nationwide “Automation becomes easy” roadshow. The tour, which included Shanghai, Changchun, Chongqing and Guangzhou, showcased the company’s new generation of robot products which include the QUANTEC robot series, the KR C4 robot controller, the smartPAD operator panel and the KUKA WorkVisual software platform.

After an impressive laser show, KUKA executives took to the stage to give an overview of the new products to nearly 200 customers, experts from the Chinese Association of Automation and the key trade media guests. The launch culminated in a choreographed automated routine with the robots as the stars.

The event generated home-run reports in leading trade publications including Robot Technique and Application, Automation Today, Automobile Industry, Modern Automobile Industry, Machine Markt China and Chinamac Journal each conveying KUKA’s key product benefits. More than 40 pieces of coverage were generated, including one cover story and feature report.
