In an aging society the increasing demand for preventive treatments and care is driving the rapid growth of medical electronics. In this environment microchip suppliers are facing the critical challenge of providing precise diagnosis, real-time monitoring, small form size and low power consumption in their medical solutions.

To meet market demand, chip manufacturer ADI unveiled two new portable ultrasound receivers, AD9272 and AD9273, to the Taiwan market with support from Ketchum. To launch the products and to raise awareness of ADI’s product range for the medical industry, a media event was held in a physical examination clinic. An abdominal ultrasound examination was given to each journalist to demonstrate the products’ superior image quality.

Coverage appeared in all of ADI’s tier-one media. The reports carried strong delivery of key messages on image quality and energy efficiency.
