201Taiwan’s largest auto show, the Taipei International Auto Show, showcased a wide variety of vehicles in late December at the Taipei World Trade Center. The show featured 30 car brands from Aston Martin to Volkswagen from 25 companies and distributors.

Cheng Ching-tien, head of the Taipei Automobile Distributors Association, said the Association organized the event despite the difficult business climate for the car industry globally. Major European and US brands which did not join the recent Tokyo Auto Show took part in Taipei, making this year’s event the largest one for car fans in town, he noted. Ketchum Taiwan was assigned to handle the pre-event press conference, the grand opening ceremony, and the media center management for the whole exhibition period.

The publicity activities and media services were successful in promoting the show in terms of both media coverage and message delivery. More than 150,000 people visited the show and 575 stories were published and posted in the media.
