Merrill Lynch-2

The annual BOA-Merrill Lynch Taiwan Technology Forum was held in Taipei in March and was the biggest ever in terms of participants and number of meetings organized. Held immediately after Japan’s earthquake and nuclear crisis, commentary from BOA-Merrill Lynch analysts and invited government officials on the disaster’s impact on Taiwan’s economy and IT supply chain became the talk of town.

The Minister for the Council for Economic Planning and Development, Dr. Christina Y. Liu, and TSMC’s chairman Dr. Morris Chang were among the many heavyweights invited to address the assembly. Ketchum was entrusted with media liaison, media center and press conference management. All told, a total of 62 reporters from 33 media outlets attended the three-day event, generating 440 news stories. Merrill Lynch-specific coverage contributed to over 58% of the total coverage.
