Ketchum News - Hong Kong
DSC_021_fmtKetchum Hong Kong in partnership with the School of Communications, Hong Kong Baptist University recently completed their third annual PR Press Kit competition.

This year 18 students took part in the competition. They were divided into six teams of three and each assigned a real communications project from Ketchum’s existing clients across the Corporate, Financial and Brand Marketing Practices. Each team was also assigned a mentor from Ketchum’s talented middle managers to help guide each group in the production of a press kit that addressed the specific communications needs of each client.

The judging panel for the competition this year consisted of Dr. Regina Chen, assistant professor and Vivien Leung, lecturer at Baptist University’s Department of Communications, Chris Liu, partner, executive vice president Greater China and general manager Ketchum Hong Kong and Dr. Simeon Mellalieu, deputy general manager, senior vice president Ketchum Hong Kong.

The press kits submitted to the judges for review ahead of the grand final where each team presented their strategies, creative ideas and key messages to all of the participants. The winning team was MBM Communications for their submission to support Savannah College of Art and Design who impressed the judges with their clearly presented strategy, high quality press materials and succinct presentation. Each team member wins an internship at Ketchum Hong Kong over the summer of 2009.
