In December it was announced that Ketchum Greater China had been awarded in the inaugural Asia-Pacific SABRE (Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation) Awards competition. Ketchum won the Pan-Regional Program category for its Lenovo: Winning at Every Olympic Moment campaign which was a fitting final crown for its Olympic efforts.
The SABRE Awards are organized by the Holmes Group, a US-based organization dedicated to improving the value of public relations and publisher of the Holmes Report. Already established in North America and EMEA, the first Asia Pacific SABRE awards attracted close to 400 entries from across the region. Last year, Ketchum won Campaign of the Year for the second year in a row at the North American SABRE Awards as well as seven other SABREs for outstanding client work.
Also in December Ketchum was awarded at the biennial Shanghai PR Association’s (SPRA) Awards for Excellence, one of China’s most prestigious industry awards. Ketchum was the only international agency to collect a gold award for its “I’m Lovin China Win” McDonald’s Cheering Competition for Beijing 2008 OIympic Games” campaign. Ketchum also collected the Award for Excellence in Project Management for its Sustainable Development Strategy for Eaton. These latest accolades bring Ketchum’s total haul from these SPRA awards to 13 including Best Creativity Award from three consecutive events.
