The China International PR Association (CIPRA) celebrated its 20th anniversary in July at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Ketchum Greater China was one of a small number of PR firms that were given a plaque in recognition of their “Outstanding Contribution to the PR Industry in China” at the anniversary ceremony. Ketchum senior counsel John Paluszek was also present as a VIP in his capacity as the 2011 chair of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. He gave a keynote speech to an audience of more than 200 people, comprising government officials, representatives from China’s regional PR associations, local and international PR agencies and academics. Paluszek was also invited to give a talk on CSR to more than 40 students at the University of International Relations, which is known as China’s cradle for diplomats.
